Hakkı SAYAN

Hakkı Sayan is an expert in tax and audit. He has worked as Tax Inspector and Senior Tax Inspector for more than 16 years in the public sector. He worked as a manager for 4 years within the Revenue Administration.

In 2001, he completed his undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Public Administration. Between 2011 and 2013, he received his master's degree in Financial Economics from Boston University, USA.

More than 12 years of accounting expertise and tax inspectorship conducted audits in several large-scale companies in different sectors; he has had experience in many tax issues, especially tax review processes, transfer pricing, tax transactions of multinational companies, mergers and divisions and restructuring procedures.

In 2014, he was appointed as Group Manager at Istanbul Tax Office. During his 4 years in office, he gained extensive accumulation in VAT, SCT and other indirect taxes, as well as managerial experience. He has deepened his managerial and technical expertise in VAT and SCT refund applications. During the management period, he played an active role especially in the activities of enabling VAT refund legislation and practices.

During his duties, he participated in many seminars and panels as a speaker and his articles were published in various journals.

Sayan has certified public accountant and independent auditor licenses.
