İsmail Vefa AK

İsmail Vefa AK began his career at the Finance Inspection Board, where he conducted compliance, performance, and efficiency audits across various departments of the Ministry of Finance.

He gained significant experience in tax auditing while working at the Tax Inspection Board – Istanbul Division for Thin Capitalization, Transfer Pricing, and Overseas Earnings, where he was involved in auditing the transfer pricing and foreign income of multinational companies and holding corporations.

He served as a Deputy Head at the Istanbul Large Taxpayers Group Presidency for three years. Throughout his executive career at the Revenue Administration, he held key leadership positions at the Istanbul Tax Office, including:

• Procedures Group Directorate,
• Income and Corporate Taxes Group Directorate,
• Other Taxes Group Directorate,
• Collection Group Directorate,
• Legal and Dispute Affairs Group Directorate.

He has worked extensively on tax law interpretations, tax refunds, tax litigation, and the enforcement of public receivables. He has also participated as a speaker in various seminars and panels, particularly on corporate tax applications.

Additionally, he has actively contributed to tax law development through his involvement in the Tax Council and various collaborative initiatives between the tax administration and non-governmental organizations.

İsmail Vefa AK is a Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Independent Auditor. He is fluent in English and German.
